Concrete surface repair of Cedar board pattern

Concrete with a cedar board pattern can be roughly divided into two types depending on how it is made.

One is a board that has been made uneven by applying a special brush to the board.

When concrete is placed using this board formwork, it is characterized by the reproduction of uneven patterns.

And the other is a board cut flat with a machine called “Planer”

When using this board, only the color of the annual rings is transferred, creating a different atmosphere from that of a planer.

If you use these forms, you will be able to create high-quality and stylish concrete.

Both construction methods are very time consuming. And it takes a lot of time to repair and finish.

This time, it is a repair of the cedar board concrete that was scraped with a planer.

The basic repair method is “Flat surface” + “Coloring”, but this coloring is quite tough.

This is because each tree ring has to be handwritten, and depending on the pattern, it may take more than half a day to advance one square meter.

↓ Before construction

We will start with the big ones.

・Cationic diluent (3-5x) as primer

・Repair Resin #45 light gray

・C Repair Lining

・C Repair Color #4 yellow

・Tone Color each color

Use these materials to repair.

The honeycomb part on the front looks better now.

Next, the recessed surface on the right side (where the formwork is deformed) is surfaced and repaired.

The part with the large dent,,,

・Roughening by chipping + ALPRON W-305 (primer)

・Polymer cement-based cross-section repair material

use to add thickness.

After it is completely hardened, the surface is polished, and the same material as before is used for finishing.
